UPBRINGING:

Goldie came to us from a farming family who had an ‘accidental’ breeding between their two Golden Retrievers.  But, Goldie is far from an accident!  She was knit together in her mother’s womb just for us & has been a pure blessing to our lives.

When Goldie first met Aspen, she was so delighted to be Aspen’s momma, & immediately took on her motherly duties.  Goldie would bathe her, clean her ears, gently play with her, teach her, & monitor Aspen’s every move.

LOOKS:

Goldie’s coat is like a cashmere sweater.  The sheen & softness of her coat is unlike any other. Goldie’s facial dimensions are perfectly proportioned & she has a distinctly prominent mane, which brings her great pride!

UPBRINGING:

Aspen came to us from a Golden Retriever puppy mill in Brussels, Wisconsin.  She is a wonderful girl, full of life & love, & she sure loves to talk!!  She was knit together in her mother’s womb just for us & has been a pure blessing to our lives.

When Aspen met Goldie, Aspen immediately assumed that Goldie was her momma. Aspen followed Goldie everywhere & loved to burry herself in Goldie’s tail, stomach, & mane - they were inseparable!  Aspen also enjoyed playing with Goldie because she was small enough to run & hide under the furniture, teasing Goldie endlessly.

LOOKS:

Aspen’s coat is like pure silk, & feels smooth like butter in your hands.  The sheen & sleekness of her coat is exceptionally lovely & unique.

PERSONALITY:

Goldie is a snuggley kind of girl who loves nothing more than lying next to you on the bed or sitting on your lap being caressed.  She possesses a very calm, easy-going temperament, & although she enjoys playing, she is perfectly content watching Aspen play.  When people first approach Goldie, their first instinct is to wrap their arms around her neck for a big hug!  When she is around little children, she relishes touching her nose to theirs.

FAVORITE TOYS:

Goldie’s favorite toys are her stuffed animals that she drags around with her, as well as her Chase-It Toy.  Goldie loves playing her Nina Ottosson wooden puzzles!  Her favorite is the DogBrick!  Even though she enjoys playing the puzzles, she doesn’t mind letting Aspen have a few extra turns.

PERSONALITY:

Aspen’s personality is larger than life!  She is a cheerful, playful girl who seems to believe that her purpose in life is to retrieve/play ball.  Despite her athleticism, she is extremely focused when presented with tasks & challenging games.  When people first approach Aspen, she has to tell them that she’s so excited to meet them (through a growl type of noise), & then introduces herself with a lick on the face or a gentle nibble on the tip of the ear. 

FAVORITE TOYS:

Aspen’s favorite toys are her various balls, which are at least 3.25 inches, & Tuffy toys.  Aspen also loves playing her Nina Ottosson wooden puzzles!  Her favorite is the DogTrubble!  She will wait in line to play her puzzles over & over, & over.

People are often curious about what Goldie & Aspen eat, as their skin & coats are so untypical looking & feeling.  They eat a variety of different foods, & consume a few supplements that also impact their overall health.  Listed here are the different foods, supplements, & treats that they consume.

It is important to note that they always eat two separate meals each day (never one large meal), & their kibble & raw foods are always fed in separate meals (never combined).

Many people are under the misconception that great skin & coats are solely due to nutrition, but that is a falsity.  Providing for dogs’ routine cleaning needs plays just as much of a role in their appearance & overall health.  Listed here are some of the products I use for Goldie & Aspen.

Consistent with the necessity of hygienic cleaning (discussed above), providing routine trimming to areas of the body where moisture can get trapped is also essential, especially for longer-haired breeds.  This type of detailed grooming may take time for your canine kid to get used to, but he/she should adapt fine when performed consistently.
